Matheus and Renata are part of the @coletivogafieira_ams, responsible for keeping the samba spirit alive in Amsterdam.
As educators, they focus on sharing the lively energy, elegant technique, and fluid movement of Samba de Gafieira. Their teaching approach emphasizes partner connection, musicality, and practical movement concepts that dancers can apply both within samba and across other partner dances.

Prerequisites: No pre-requisites :)
Learn samba de gafieira foundations. We'll learn one of samba de gafieira's basic steps and we'll explore several other samba movements derived from it.
Prerequisites: We expect students to know the forró basic steps (base 1 and base 2) and to be comfortable dancing forró. No samba experience required.
Learn a classic samba de gafieira step called puladinho. We'll then use the puladinho to explore how to create new variations using different ideas, including lanes and changes to the embrace.
